Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell both want to make a Veronica Mars movie, but WB told them there is no enthusiasm. KBell is encouraging all the fans to write to WB to let them know that they are wrong. Please help! http://www.saveveronicamars.tv/letters.html

Today I slept to 2:45pm, which sucked because I wanted to be up early for pre-sale tickets to A Steady Rain. It took me over an hour to find a good seat, but I got third row for the day after my birthday, so happy birthday to me! I would have liked it to be ON my birthday, but the best seats on that day weren't as good as what I got. Paid a little extra for premium seats, but that's ok. They were the cheapest premium seats available. And now I just won't see John Legend in August like I was planning. But Daniel Craig!!! It will be my first Broadway show ever, btw!

Also, I neglected to mention this before, but I went to a screening of Bruno on Tuesday, and guess who else was there. Only Sacha Baron Cohen!

Tonight was amazing. I saw Reel Big Fish for the first time (been a fan for about 12 years), and then I got to hang out backstage and meet them! I got an awesome pic with Aaron. He was great. Also talked with some guys from their current record label (with whom we work). It was super fun. Wish I could've stayed longer, but the guy I was with had something to do in the morning and it was approaching 1am and he had to go and I didn't want to stay by myself. Oh well. Good times!

Highlights from last night's No Doubt concert:

- They performed 'End It On This'! (Which, surprisingly, a lot of people did not recognize?) Then Gwen saw a sign in the crowd that said something along the lines of "It's my birthday and all I want is to hear 'Total Hate' and 'Tragic Kingdom'", so ND started playing Tragic Kingdom and then just stopped right as Gwen started singing the second verse. She called it the diet version, lol, and wished that person a happy birthday. And left me wanting to watch my Tragic Kingdom DVD. ♥

- Gwen spotted another sign that said something like "I've been to over 30 No Doubt shows, can I please introduce the band?" so she brought him up during 'Different People' and let him introduce them!! I took video.

- At the end of one song Gwen started chatting with people in the front row and signing things for them. She signed some baby clothes for a pregnant lady, it was so precious. Then finally she was like "I gotta go!" and ran to the back of the stage to start the next song. omgilovehersfm. (Although why didn't she do that when I was front row on Wednesday?) :(

- During 'Stand and Deliver' Paramore and Janelle Monae came out and performed with them.

I wish I could see them again in Long Island tonight, but I don't have the energy or the money right now. (I also considered going to 311 tonight in NJ, but then yesterday I bought Snow Patrol tickets. =X Third row!)

The comedy show last night? SO. MUCH. FUN. All of the comics were hilarious. I was in tears several times from laughing so hard. I think my favorite part was when Janeane Garofalo mentioned Twilight and Paul F. Tompkins did a verbal equivalent of a keysmash, omggggg. Best ever! It was so awesome. (Sidenote: Janeane described True Blood as something she both loves and dislikes. Dislikes because of all the 'southern accents', which is mostly why I am so hesitant to watch it.) Anyway, Janeane and Paul opened together, then Thomas Middleditch came out as a character named Kevin Evans, which was adorable and awkward and hysterical all at the same time. You do the math. Then MIKE DOUGHTY came out! Sadly, he only performed '27 Jennifers' and 'Looking at the World from the Bottom of a Well'. As short as it was, it was a beautiful acoustic set. And he cracked a few jokes and laughs were had. After Mike, Maria Bamford came on. She is totally twisted and totally funny and absolutely amazing at impersonations. Then Paul came back out with Mike Doughty and they performed an improv cover of the Violent Femmes' 'American Music'. OMG. That is all I can say. And that was supposed to be the end of the show, but then Janeane ran out and requested that Mike perform 'Janine' because it had her name. Mike was like, 'I wouldn't be getting another song if it weren't for Janeane(/Janine?)' So yay Janeane! It was a great night (and my first real comedy show). :D Also, now I really want to see a proper Mike Doughty show.

Anywho, we met at this BSG event. It was amazing!!! Michael Hogan and Mary McDonnell are too fucking cool for words. (I think I have a crush on Hogan.) I was laughing almost the entire time. The scientists left me feeling like this. Oh, and I saw a 'hot off the press' clip from The Plan. It was awesome!

I have a confession.

Despite the fact that he has been around for a while, and I have seen him a few movies, it wasn't until recently that I've developed a thing for Ryan Reynolds. And you know what finally did it for me? The trailer for The Proposal. Yes. A trailer. It's kind of sickening how badly I want to see this movie. I am NOT a romantic comedy kinda girl.

I didn't record much because the sound was SO BAD. I was a few feet from the stage and I could barely hear him. It was like this for pretty much the whole show. :( (BUT STILL TOTALLY WORTH IT.)

I really want a recording (or even a good quality live) mp3 of this. Guh.

Last night someone managed to get into both this LJ and [info]teh_indy. Why? I don't know. Who? Don't know that either. But I pity the fool who can find nothing better to do with their time. Anyway, this person deleted all of my entries at [info]teh_indy and made a new post with suspicious links in it. IDK where the links led, as they were masked, but I hope no one followed them. They may have been malicious. =/ Then they were in the process of deleting entries in this journal when the good support team at LJ stepped in. I was informed by support that someone else had reported that my icon journal was compromised, so they were already in the process of investigating/acting when I reached them. Whoever that was, thank you very much!

Tonight I attended a Q&A with director Sam Mendes and it was wonderful!! I was going to ask a question, but someone else beat me to it. Damn it! But that's ok. (It was a question about the use of Alexi Murdoch in Away We Go, which was one of my favorite elements of the film.)

Tomorrow I am attending a screening of Land of the Lost. I can't wait! It's got dinosaurs and Danny McBride and it's scored by Michael Giacchino!

Then on Friday I am going to see JOHN LEGEND!!! And possibly even meet him. IDK yet, we'll see how that goes.

This week is only the beginning of a very epic month. Still to come: BSG cast, The Fray, NO DOUBT!!! And who knows what else! Life in NYC is grand!

Last night's Supernatural was A++. The slash scene was my favorite!!! ilu, SPN writers!

I haven't made many posts during this season of American Idol because frankly this season fucking blows!!! I do not feel connected at all the way I have with previous seasons. I have a favorite (Kris!) and I buy his singles every week, but I have not voted once, and I do not follow anything outside of the 2-3 hours I have to watch each week. All of the changes this season are fucking retarded and unnecessary and if it keeps up, I hope this season will be the last. Also, I want to punch Adam Lambert in his stupid, fat face. Aaand, I don't care if it's wrong, but I find this photo immensely entertaining.

Party Down is by far my favorite new show this mid-season.

I both love and hate Lost these days.

I think I'm going to quit Lie To Me. I don't know why I watch this show anymore. I started for Tim Roth, but now I'm b-o-r-e-d.

I'm excited for Southland, but only because Kevin Alejandro is in it.

I haven't watched tonight's ep yet, but Dollhouse just keeps getting better and better.

New British TV I'm enjoying: Survivors & No Heroics.

Jeffrey Donovan's Twitter is amazing.

What up, LJ. It's nice to have internet again at home. Not sure how long it will last, but it's good.

Today Threadless added a bunch of designs to the spring cleaning sale - tees at $5 & $10.

Glarkware updated Twitter today with a request:
Is there a classic GW shirt you wish would come back or was available in a certain colour? Drop a line at glark@glarkware.com and we'll try.

I sent an email about the VM Backup shirt and got the following reply:
I think I could definitely put "Backup", uh, back up.

- Dave

Heeeee! I've always regretted not getting that one. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

MusicSkins.com is currently having a Twilight promotional sale. Use the code 'twilight' and get 20% off!

[info]_allshallfade came over this past weekend to see Watchmen on IMAX (where we each got a free large popcorn a;sldfjkasd). We also planned to watch the Battlestar Galactica finale together. Except my cable went out Thursday night, along with my internet which had already been out for who knows how long. So Saturday we had an adventure going around to three different coffee shops trying to get a wifi connection to download the episode. Then we hit up the Apple store and Radio Shack for cables to hook my Macbook up to my TV. A lot of time and money was spent, but we made it happen! And we both loved the finale. It was really great.

Lately I've been working the NYC advance screening scene. I've attended three screenings in the past three weeks. I think I might make it my goal to attend at least one a week. Or at least attempt to. It all depends on the availability of passes and showtimes. I've already got passes for Adventureland next week (excited!), and I'm hoping for a couple more.

I saw Alien Trespass Monday night and I really enjoyed it. It's a fun homage to old sci-fi B-movies. I was very impressed with the female lead, which is not something that happens often. Also, I met the director after the movie and he was awesome. If this opens in your city, I totally recommend it.

Yesterday I got Twilight on Blu-ray from Netflix and I'm waiting to watch it with my roomie tomorrow night. I'm unbelievably excited about this, and not in a good way.

I watched the Kings premiere and I was unsure about it. But then I rewatched it with my roommate and decided to drop it. The crown was bad enough the first time, but seeing it again just did it for me. It ruined anything else the show might have had going for it.

Castle, on the other hand, is super fun!

Aaand now's a good time to wrap things up. Time for American Idol!

I saw Sin Nombre last night and it was amazing. I feel like it's been a long while since I've seen a movie that good. It's still on my mind this morning. If it opens in your city, you should definitely consider checking it out.

I also feel like it's been a while since I enjoyed an episode of Lost as much as I enjoyed last night's ep.

Watched the pilot of Party Down last night too and I LOVED it. Ryan Hansen and I need to make babies like, yesterday.

I still have no internet at home. It blows.

Don't forget about the Threadless spring cleaning sale! Tees for $5 and $10! I may or may not have purchased 8 this week...

My internet is shit at the moment. Cable was supposed to come out today to fix it. They never showed up, so I bitched and moaned and called customer service twice. Then about two and a half hours after they were supposed to be here, I got a call informing me that the technician had fallen off a roof at an earlier appointment. Oh man, I felt bad. Apparently it was a two story roof and he was ok, but he had to go to the hospital. That sucks. So I've rescheduled for Monday afternoon since I didn't want to spend my day tomorrow waiting around. I've got shit to do.

On the plus side, I spent my time sitting around catching up on loads of TV. Got through everything I missed this past week. Woot!

Speaking of TV, does anyone else watch these new shows: Eastbound & Down, Lie To Me, Castle, Dollhouse? I think those are the only ones I started. I'm so out of touch. I don't know what's going on anymore.

I saw I Love You, Man on Wednesday. Not a great movie, but it had some awesome one-liners that I would like to commit to memory. The rest of the audience seemed to enjoy it much more than I did, but it was still fun. And Paul Rudd was beyond adorable. He kind of slayed me. And Jason Segal was hot. Those were the only two reasons I had for seeing the movie, so I wasn't disappointed. I'd watch it again just for them.

Last night I had one of my best Ikea experiences. I went after work just to pick up an alarm clock, but it's Ikea and I can never go without making a big trip out of it. So I had dinner there and sat by the windows with a beautiful sunset over the city and watched Private Practice on my iPod and it was sooo relaxing and there were hardly any people there and it was just such a nice way to end a somewhat shitty week. I'm going back tomorrow for a duvet cover that I fell in love with last night. I ♥ Ikea.

Next weekend [info]_allshallfade is coming over and we're going to see Watchmen on IMAX and watch the finale of BSG and it will be EPIC. I can't wait!

Do you ever have a dream about someone (irl or fictional) who you didn't have any particular interest in before, but then all of a sudden you see them in a new light? For instance, I've been watching a lot of Grey's Anatomy lately trying to catch up, then last night I dreamed that I was making out with Owen Hunt. I also stopped at Circuit City because I can't resist sales. I got:
Blu-ray
Harry Potter and the Prison of Azkaban - 12.50
The Shining - 12.50
Terminator 2: Judgment Day - 11.50
DVD
The Aviator - 5.00

And yesterday I placed a pick-up order with Best Buy for American Psycho for 3.99. Five DVDs in two days feels really good. It's been a while since I purchased any. I have a problem.

Now I am settled in for the night, still catching up on TV and preparing for the Oscars. My roommate and I are going to have our own two-person viewing party. Fun stuff.

I am posting from my apartment, omg yay!!! My internet/phone/cable has been out since Wednesday! I have missed a lot of TV. Apparently when the cable company came out Wednesday to fix our neighbor's internet, they just started unplugging cables in the basement willy nillily and left ours unplugged. Brilliant.

Umm, ok, so what is going on. I know I said I was going to make a big TV post, but I don't feel like it anymore. BUT, thanks to everyone who replied to my Grey's post! That was very helpful.

I have been to a lot of movies this week. Last Saturday I saw Fanboys, Tuesday I saw Frost/Nixon, Thursday I saw The Wrestler, today I saw Milk, and tomorrow I am going to see The Reader. Phew. The Reader is the only best picture nom I have left to see, and now that my cable is back I can watch the Oscars! So excited! I was really worried that I was putting in all the effort and money to see all these nominees and I would miss it.

This week is going to be fun, I hope. I am going to see Christopher Moore and with any luck I will be attending a screening of I Love You, Man! Other than that I foresee a lot of TV catching up.

Ok, time to download some TV episodes and update my Listography! Yay internet!

Also, on the subject of tv, this weekend I finally watched 24: Redemption and all of season 7 and I reeaally like this season so far!! A lot. I'll make a bigger tv update later when I have more time.
